Milwaukee police arrest man after pursuit ends in crash, 2 taken to Children's Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested a 36-year-old man after a vehicle pursuit ended with a crash into a building. The man was initially stopped for a registration violation but fled as officers approached.
The incident occurred Monday, Oct. 21, at approximately 7:47 p.m. near 9th and Meinecke. The pursuit concluded near 17th and Center when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Two occupants of the vehicle, an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old, were transported to Children's Wisconsin with serious but non-fatal injuries. The driver was also taken to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
Police say a firearm was recovered at the scene. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
