Menomonee Falls man charged after alleged road rage shooting
CBS 58 MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) — A Menomonee Falls man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he fired shots during a road rage incident late Friday night, striking another vehicle and a nearby home.
According to the Menomonee Falls Police Department, officers responded just before 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, to reports of a crash and shots fired near Maple Road and Christman Road.
Investigators said the incident began as a road rage confrontation near County Line Road and Bancroft Drive before both vehicles continued onto Maple Road. During the pursuit, authorities allege shots were fired from the pursued vehicle, striking the victim's vehicle and a nearby residence.
The driver of the pursuing vehicle suffered a significant, non-life-threatening eye injury from debris caused by the gunfire and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police arrested Samuel L. Kendall of Menomonee Falls.
Kendall is charged with:
- Two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety while using a dangerous weapon
- Two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety while using a dangerous weapon
- Two counts of criminal damage to property while using a dangerous weapon
- One count of possession of improvised explosives
Kendall is being held in the Waukesha County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
