GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Head Coach Mike McCarthy is giving Packers fans a glimmer of hope, saying Aaron Rodgers could be on the path toward playing again.
McCarthy said during a press conference Friday that Rodgers could be on a “trial return” to practice on Saturday.
“The plan, you know he’s got a workout today and we’ll obviously evaluate that. But we’re looking tomorrow to potentially practice him in a trial return only. That’s the outlook. We’ll determine that tomorrow after his work today,” said Head Coach Mike McCarthy.
Aaron Rodgers has been out since breaking his right collarbone in week six against the Vikings.
The Packers have lost five of the last six games without him and are fading from the playoff picture. Brett Hundley will lead Green Bay on Sunday, December 3 when the Packers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
