MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's an annual competition that looks good enough to eat.
Students at the MATC Bakery and Pastry Arts Program have a new challenge this year.
Each year, the students compete to see who can build the best gingerbread house. This time around, in addition to the houses, some students will be building either a gingerbread version of Miller Park or the Milwaukee Bucks Arena.
That places a whole new set of design demands on the young bakers.
"This year, I think it's gonna be with things that are not straight edges, to try and build gingerbread that's more rounded than straight. It's gonna be a challenge," said Jamee Hueschen, an MATC student and baker.
Student Jamee Hueschen says last year, it took her 50 hours from design to completion for the gothic house she built.
If you're interested in checking out their final creations, they'll be on display on December 2 at the Milwaukee Public Market.
