MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Marquette Golden Eagles are ready for the big dance and finally know where the tournament journey begins.
Marquette (23-10) heads to Cleveland as the second seed in the South region. The Golden Eagles take on New Mexico on Friday, March 21.
Head coach Shaka Smart has led Marquette to the NCAA Tournament all five seasons he has been in Milwaukee. This is the 37th NCAA Tournament trip for the program.
Marquette is coming off its first trip to the Sweet 16 in 11 years last season.
