Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Ramsey
It wasn’t your usual swearing in ceremony Friday morning in Milwaukee. Members of the Marquette University Police Department welcomed Nattie, a new police dog, into their department as an officer.
Nattie is not a traditionally trained police dog, instead her role will be focused on community outreach, “Nattie isn’t trained to do any law enforcement functions like other police dogs would, her primary function is going to be to provide community outreach in situations where we might need to provide comfort to crime victims,” said Officer Paul Mascari.
Nattie came to her primary handler, Officer Carolina Seidle, as a foster dog from the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Welcome to the force Officer Nattie.
