Marcus Hotel Releases Statement About Passing of Pfister Employee

Marcus Hotels and Resorts released a statement about the passing of Shawn Ostrom. 

Ostrom worked at the Pfister Hotel before he was fatally stabbed Monday Morning on North Pulaski Street. 

"We are very saddened to learn of the news about the incident in the Brady Street area early yesterday morning, and the passing of Shawn Ostrom.  We have lost one of our respected colleagues and work family members.  Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends.  We trust that the media will respect their privacy during this challenging time," said a Marcus Hotels representative. 

The victim in the August 29 homicide in the 1700 block of N. Pulaski Street is identified as Shawn W. Ostrom. 

Two suspects, a 45-year-old Oak Creek man and a 20-year-old Greenfield man, were arrested in connection with the crime.

Milwaukee Police are continuing their investigation. 

 Witnesses say a couple was fighting early Monday morning outside of Thurman's 15. A regular at the bar intervened, and that's when the man was stabbed.

A police source tells us the victim and the suspects knew each other
