
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- MKE Peace Week 2025 kicked off Monday, May 5 with a peace march and rally. The week-long, city-wide initiative celebrates and promotes peace, unity and safety throughout the city.

Monday, May 5 - 5-6:30 p.m.
Citywide Peace March & Rally - Moody Park, 2201 W. Auer Ave
Join Mayor Cavalier Johnson for the official kick-off to MKE Peace Week 2025 with a citywide peace march and rally. Walk with us through the Amani Neighborhood as we take a stand for unity and togetherness. Community resources will be available at the park. *Registration is not required, but recommended.
Tuesday, May 6 - 10-11 a.m.
Peace & Violence Prevention Listening Session
Young leaders are invited to participate in a private dialogue with Mayor Johnson, Milwaukee Police Department Chief Jeffery Norman, and Milwaukee Public Schools officials. This conversation will focus on sharing ideas and lived experiences to help shape peaceful and positive environments across the greater Milwaukee area.

Wednesday, May 7 - 8:30-10 a.m.
United in Faith Peace Breakfast
Mayor Cavalier Johnson will host a multi-faith gathering and panel discussion focused on unity, healing, and the role of faith in violence prevention efforts and peace-building.

Community Service Clean-Up Day
Mayor Cavalier Johnson will join Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Brenda Cassellius, and students in a neighborhood clean-up to promote peace through service and action.

Citywide Career & Resource Fair - Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell Street
Join the City of Milwaukee – Department of Employee Relations for the 2025 Career and Resource Fair at the Mitchell Street Library. Explore career pathways, connect with local resources, and check out books focused on conflict resolution and peace-building skills.
Saturday, May 10 - 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Community Kickball Games & Job Fair - Kinnickinnic Sports Center, 3070 S. 20th Street
Celebrate the final day of Peace Week 2025 with Mayor Cavalier Johnson during a friendly competition of kickball games at Kinnickinnic Sports Center! Community resources and a job fair will be available at the park.
