Man struggles in water after capsizing kayak near South Milwaukee

A kayaker on Lake Michigan near South Milwaukee capsized his kayak Saturday afternoon. Onlookers watched as the man tried to right the kayak and rescue himself for about 30 minutes before calling firefighters.
Firefighters arrived and were able to help the man back to shore. He was not wearing a life jacket.
The man decided to get himself checked out at the hospital.
