3-alarm fire damages vacant Milwaukee warehouse
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee man has been indicted on charges of rioting and arson in connection to unrest in Sherman Park in August 2016.
The indictment alleges that 20-year-old Toronse Carter participated in a riot and set fire to the BP gas station in the 3100 block of N. Sherman Boulevard in Milwaukee.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Carter faces a 10-year mandatory prison sentence if convicted of felony arson charges and five years if convicted of rioting.
