Man in Roto-Rooter Plumbing van arrested, accused of driving drunk and crashing into mailboxes
RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Waterford Police were called out to 30800 Meadow Lane for a report of a white 'Roto-Rooter Plumbing Van' that was striking mailboxes and "circling the neighborhood."
Upon arriving, officers saw the van traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.
Officers made contact with the driver who said that he did not know anything about striking any mailboxes. Officers observed that the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. When an officer pointed that out, the suspect rolled up his window, locked the door, and flipped off the officer. The suspect also allegedly mouthed the words "f*** you" to the officer.
During transport to the Racine County Jail, the suspect allegedly stated, "a******, when we get to jail, I'm going to get your gun and shoot you with it."
The driver was later identified as Timothy Riley, 48, of Illinois.
He is now facing charges of Operating While Intoxicated, Threat to a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting an Officer, and Disorderly conduct.
