Man arrested for 2nd OWI after allegedly refusing ride home from friends, West Bend Police say

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 31-year-old West Bend man has been arrested for an OWI after police say he allegedly refused a ride home from friends.

It happened around 5:19 a.m. on Saturday in the 1500 block of W. Washington Street.

Police say that a person called 911 to report a vehicle being driven by a man who had been drinking alcohol and refused to be driven home by his friends.

Officers stopped the vehicle and noticed that the man was intoxicated.

He failed Standard Field Sobriety tests and blew a .129.

The man faces charges of OWI 2nd Offense and Bailjumping.

The man was out on bail from a previous open OWI arrest.
