Majority of crime down in Milwaukee so far in 2026, per MPD
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After the recent devastating earthquake in Venezuela, local volunteers gathered to load up trucks filled with donations to support the victims.
Supplies were loaded on Tuesday, July 7 at Blessed Sacrament School in Milwaukee. Items such as water bottles, diapers, toilet paper, and more were loaded into the truck.
Associate Pastor Rev. Norberto Sandoval, who is originally from Venezuela, said the response from neighboring communities was overwhelming.
"We got from Chicago, we have from Sheboygan, we have from Madison, we have from all over the place."
He said the response can be seen by the amount of help that has arrived. "We saw the workers were a lot this past week. Now, we have a few, we are getting more, but it's the way how people respond."
