MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman is demanding answers after she says her sister was found shot and killed in an alley on 10th Street and Cleveland Ave. in Milwaukee on Sunday, July 5.

"You dumped my sister in this dirty alley like she meant nothing and she meant everything," said Lynnette Stiff, Kristy Syed's sister.

Stiff says she felt uneasy on the Fourth of July because she hadn't heard from her sister Kristy Syed in a while, and then the next night, she got a call that changed her life forever.

"It was the most sickening feeling ever and I kept saying 'It’s not true, it’s not true,'" said Stiff.

Then, she saw the surveillance video from the alley, where she says her sister was pleading for her life and was shot and killed.

"Felt relieved to hear her voice for the last time; you know, her voice… It was horrible to hear what she was saying, but I got to hear her voice for the last time," said Stiff.

Milwaukee police say the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Sunday and that a person of interest was identified in connection to the shooting but found dead.

"First you dump her in the alley, then you shoot her and now you dehumanizer, you take your clothes off and your dignity, like, no," said Stiff.

Stiff says Syed, who was 42 years old, was a mother of a 9-year-old boy and was always a bubbly, fun person.

"Just a really nice, sweet, docile person," said Stiff. "Somebody that people could take advantage of real quick, real quick. She's just too nice for her own good."

Lynette says she is left with more questions than answers and wants to know who her sister was with, how she ended up in that alley and if other people were involved.

"They were planning to really kill my sister because they came to the most ducted off area," said Stiff. "They didn’t even care to look if there was cameras or anything they just straight bold murdered my sister in the back of a dirty alley," said Stiff.

CBS 58 asked MPD who the person of interest was that was found dead and when they were found, but they said they do not provide information on people of interest unless they are charged.

MPD also says they are not looking for any additional suspects at this time.
