Light rain Tuesday followed by a chance for storms Thursday

NOW: Light rain Tuesday followed by a chance for storms Thursday
NEXT:

Our dry stretch of weather has finally come to an end with some light rain Tuesday morning. Before that we went seven straight days with 0.00" of rain. Since a soaking rain on May 1st we have not had much.

An area of light rain fell in the Milwaukee metro area for a few hours Tuesday morning. A few more showers will be possible through the rest of the morning and even into the afternoon. Some areas could stay mostly or even completely dry.

Here's a radar image that will update with time:

After the light showers on Tuesday we look mostly dry Tuesday night and Wednesday. Thursday will be our next best chance for some showers and storms. The best timing looks to be in the afternoon and evening but a bit uncertain. The chance for rain has increased over the last 24 hours.

There are enough severe weather ingredients Thursday for the possibility for some strong to severe storms. Nearly all of Wisconsin is under a Level 2 Slight Risk for severe weather. If strong storms do form, all types of severe weather would be possible including strong wind, large hail and tornadoes.
