Less than 30 days until US Open at Erin Hills

Some of golf's greatest players will make their way to Wisconsin next month for the US Open at Erin Hills which starts in less than 30 days.

CBS 58's Julie Parise got a sneak peek of the course.

There are 652 acres at Erin Hills and crews are hard at work getting every last one of them ready for the major championship, now just a few short weeks away.

Workers are currently putting the finishing touches on what will soon be fan central at Erin Hills, \"most of our tents are up we couldn't be happier with where the golf course is at,\" said Championship Manager Eric Steimer.

With less than a month to go before the US Open, the USGA and Erin Hills staff are working around the clock to get the club ready, \"just some of the big items we have to check off when you look at the infrastructure that's come in, for the most part we've made great progress,\" said Steimer.

Steimer says he's expecting more than 200,000 people to make their way to Hartford for the major championship

The greens at Erin Hills are ready for the spotlight and he can't wait to show off this golf course to the rest of the world, \"this is a true public golf course, anyone can come play this course and there's gonna be an economic impact for years after the championship is over,\" said Steimer.

As far as getting to and from the tournament, there will be two satellite parking lots for fans one in Oconomowoc and one in Germantown.

Tickets for the US Open are still available.
