Late Show with Stephen Colbert's website launches

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's countdown to the premiere begins today with the launch of the website for the show.

The show will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10:35 PM CT.

Colbert has also launched these social media accounts: ColbertLateShow.com, the Colbr App for iOS, and the show's Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google+ accounts.

“Say what you will about the Internet, I think it's here to stay!” said Stephen Colbert. “Launching ColbertLateShow.com puts me in the same league as Google.com, Facebook.com and ferretfancier.blogspot.com!”

The website will feature the latest behind-the-scenes news about the upcoming show, videos and podcasts from Colbert, photos and viewer polls. The Colbr App for iOS, will offer videos and radio podcasts from Colbert, as well at his personal Twitter feed, @StephenAtHome. Both platforms will be updated throughout the summer, leading up to the show's September premiere.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be broadcast from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Specific creative elements and producers will be announced at a later date.
