Kindergarten teacher charged with physical abuse of a child

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 56-year-old Menomonee Falls woman who taught kindergarten at a school in Pleasant Prairie has been charged with physical abuse of a child.

In March, 2017 Lynn Luisier was caught grabbing the arm of a 5-year-old student and shaking them by a custodian. When the custodian made eye contact with the teacher she changed her demeanor from aggressive to comforting. The custodian reported the incident to the principal.

The mother of the child was spoken to about the incident by the principal and watched surveillance video. The mother said her child had previously reported aggressive conduct by the teacher and was crying when picked up from school a few times. The child said she was yelled at and pushed for spilling milk and walking on a carpet with wet boots.
