Kenosha PD Investigating Attempted Abduction of Student

On Thursday, January 12, the Kenosha Police Department took a report of attempted abduction. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of 56th Street at approximately 8:20 AM on Wednesday, January 11.

A student was walking to school in the 1300-1400 block of 56th Street when a dark colored (blue or green) Dodge Grand Caravan pulled up to the curb near the student. The driver was the lone occupant in the van.

The driver suspect is described as a heavy-set black man approximately 30-years-old with a beard wearing a black zip up coat and black hat.

The suspect attempted to engage the student in conversation asking her and was holding money in his hand during this conversation. The suspect vehicle was also seen in the area of 14th & 52nd.

Although there was no physical contact, the suspect did try to engage the student in conversation. The Kenosha Police Department asks everyone to report any suspicious activity to the dispatch center 656-1234 or 9-1-1.
