Kenosha County Detective Jeffrey Bliss laid to rest

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is remembering one of its own. 

Detective Jeffrey Bliss passed away earlier this month at the age of 46, with the cause of death still undetermined.

The 24-year law enforcement veteran was laid to rest Tuesday, April 19. 

Bliss is survived by his wife and son.


In a post Tuesday night, the Western Lakes Fire District shared that they were present for Detective Bliss' funeral, with therapy dog K-9 Tesla. 

They say Detective Bliss was a "respected and admired member of the public safety community" and "his contributions will live on through his instruction to others, character and demonstrated integrity."
