Job fair seeks 2,000 seasonal workers to support Milwaukee's event season
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee World Festival is set to hold a job fair on April 15 at the Summerfest Operations Building in Milwaukee to recruit over 2,000 seasonal workers for the upcoming festival season at Henry Maier Festival Park.
The announcement came in a Wednesday, April 12 press release in which MWF noted that the positions will span from May to October, a prime season for concerts, cultural and ethnic celebrations and other special events in the area, including Summerfest.
The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with opportunities available in security, food and beverage operations, facilities and ground operations, guest services, admissions and more.
MWF says that the positions offer competitive wages, flexible scheduling, paid training and perks such as admission tickets to Summerfest, food vouchers and live music.
During the hiring event, on-the-spot job offers will be made. Applicants are encouraged to bring a driver's license, direct deposit information and a Social Security Card or passport.
