Jazz returning to Waukesha with 'Jazz @ Cutler Park' series 🎷
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department has announced the revival of "Jazz @ Cutler Park," a series that had been absent for over a decade.
The concerts will take place at the Les Paul Performance Center in Cutler Park. Starting on Wednesday, July 12, the series will be held on consecutive Wednesdays through July 26.
Joanna Adamicki, Special Event Coordinator, said in a Friday, June 23 press release that the series will showcase various talented jazz artists.
Scheduled performances include:
- July 12 - Vocalist Ellen Winters will perform selections from the Great American Songbook, accompanied by a combo of piano, bass, drums, and flute.
- July 19 - Opus, a jazz-fusion instrumental quintet, will perform their jazz style. The ensemble has a history spanning several decades.
- July 26 - The Milwaukee Jazz Institute will conclude the series with performances featuring vocals, keyboards, saxophone, bass, and drums.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy food from local food trucks and selections from Mob Craft Brewing.
