JaJuan Johnson scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting to help Marquette gets past a pesky Stetson Hatters team 74-60 Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Everything went right for Marquette in the first half, and they took a 26 point edge to the locker room, but Stetson rallied to make it a nine point game early in the second half. From there, MU relied on Henry Ellenson (12 points, 11 rebounds) and Haanif Cheatham (13 points, 9 rebounds) to hold the Hatters off the rest of the way.
Marquette hadn't played a non-conference game this late in a season since March 2008, when they faced Florida Gulf Coast from the Atlantic Sun.
