KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Supporters of Jacob Blake gathered in downtown Kenosha Monday afternoon, Jan. 11, to demand the firing of Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey.
Members of the Blake family and dozens of others held a protest march around the municipal building.
Six days ago, the Kenosha County DA announced that no criminal charges would be filed against Officer Sheskey for shooting Jacob Blake seven times last August.
"This was nothing more than a modern day lynching -- the judge, the jury and the trial was in the seven shots delivered by Officer Sheskey," said Justin Blake, Jacob's uncle. "We are not gonna rest until he's fired, indicted, has his day in court and convicted."
Blake's uncle says he has been in talks with lawmakers in Washington to address police violence.
