Ana Rios MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We now know why Milwaukee police were attempting to track down and arrest a man who was later shot and killed by an officer.
The Department of Corrections (DOC) says Johnathan Otto had missed several appointments with his parole agent dating back to January.
But they say his arrest turned more urgent on March 10, after the DOC learned of assault and strangulation allegations against him, with the alleged incident taking place March 9.
That's what led officers to Otto on March 12, when he was shot after taking off from a traffic stop, with an officer hanging onto the side of his truck.
Police video from the case will be made public on Thursday.
