It pays to be a dad

It turns out that it actually pays to be a dad. A new national study from the Graduate Center, City University of New York found men with children earn 40% more than men without children in 2010. Dads had a median salary of $49,000 compared to about $29,000 for men without kids. The study found the differences are that fathers tend to be older and more established in their jobs. They also commanded higher wages.
