Isolated but persistent rain chances the next three days

NOW: Isolated but persistent rain chances the next three days
NEXT:

It has been a very warm start to October. In fact, through the first three days of the month it is the warmest start to October on record! We have one more day in the 80s Wednesday before we start to drop but staying far away from records. With the heat beginning to break down our focus is shifting to some rain chances. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all have a chance for rain but a lot of us could stay all or mostly dry. Wednesday's rain chance is very isolated with many staying dry. We will keep in the isolated chance through most of the day. Thursday's chance looks best in the morning and Friday's chance is best in the afternoon and evening.

Thursday morning has the potential for a soaking rain but where that sets up is in question. Some weather models keep most of the rain south of the IL border, a few have it reaching our southern counties mostly reaching Racine and Kenosha Counties and parts of Walworth and southern Milwaukee Counties. Readycast has it the farthest north reaching West Bend and Port Washington but areas south of I-94 have the best chance mainly during the morning.

The location of the soaking rain Thursday morning will really impact rain totals over the next 72 hours. Some southern counties could get up to a half inch with that. Northern counties might only see a tenth to a quarter inch with the isolated rain chances.
