MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A group of Milwaukee community leaders just called on lawmakers to save those in the DACA program from deportation.
There will be immigration attorneys from the Marquette legal clinic giving free advice at the United Community Center Wednesday night.
Wednesday's press conference included local business leaders, community organizations and veterans who called on members of congress to restore DACA.
CBS 58 talked to a Milwaukee banker whose parents came from Mexico. He said he wants kids today to have the same chance he did, "I feel for all the DACA recipients and can know their struggle of coming to this country and doing, just doing and trying their best to make it. These are kids that want to follow the rules, and we keep changing the rules on them," said Ivan Gamboa.
The UCC president is advising people concerned to listen to the immigration attorneys who will be at the center at 5:00 p.m. every Wednesday.
