Immigrant enters guilty plea in federal reentry case tied to Judge Hannah Dugan incident

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Eduardo Flores-Ruiz pleaded guilty Thursday, Sept. 4 in federal court to re-entering the United States after previously being deported, according to prosecutors.
Court records show Flores-Ruiz was ordered to leave the country on Jan. 13, 2013, just one day after entering. Federal officials later discovered he was in Milwaukee County Jail in March on a misdemeanor battery charge.
The maximum penalty is two years in prison, a $250,000 fine and removal from the country. Prosecutors said his guilty plea could result in a reduced sentence.
When asked how he felt after changing his plea, Flores-Ruiz told CBS 58 in Spanish that he felt "good" and "content."
His sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in federal court.
