Hunting Moon Pow Wow Held in Milwaukee

It has been a really spectacular weekend inside the UWM Panther Arena downtown where Native American culture was on display for three days.

It's the Hunting Moon Pow Wow, a gathering of members of many Native American Nations to show their arts and crafts, their traditional  foods and of course, their singing and dancing.

"My husband and my son both participate. My husband's a traditional dancer, my oldest son dances grass so I don't get to watch them too much because I'm here taking care of the booth but that would be my favorite part," says Paula Hedgepeth of the Oneida Nation.

A Pow Wow is usually set up as a series of circles with the center circle used as the dance area with an area outside the circle for the MC, drummers and the families of the dancers.
