Nearly 2 years after fire, Eden Meat Market rises from the ashes
Wednesday featured some strong to severe storms and plenty of humidity but not much heat. Thursday will be different. Sunshine will abound with no storm chance until the night with just as much humidity and warmer temps. In fact, a heat advisory has been issued for two of our local counties. Jefferson and Walworth Counties are under the advisory from noon until 8 PM.
High temperatures will hover around 90* with warmer temperatures away from the lakefront. Dew points will still reach the low 70s. When you factor those together the heat index or feels like temps will be closer to the middle to upper 90s. Walworth and Jefferson Counties where the heat advisory is in place have the best chance to see the heat index reach 100.
While Thursday remains dry, a few rounds of storms are possible Friday. The first could roll in as early as the early morning hours then we dry out from late morning into the afternoon with another round of storms possible Friday evening.
Any of the storms on Friday could be strong to severe. Damaging wind and hail will be the main threats. All of southeast Wisconsin is currently in the Level 2 Slight Risk for severe weather.
