WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities say a 21-year-old Hartford man has died following a crash on Interstate 41 Thursday, July 20.

First responders arrived at the scene near County Trunk K around 11:06 p.m. 

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the 21-year-old man was driving westbound when he struck a vehicle operated by a 64-year-old Fond du Lac County woman. 

She was transported via Flight for Life to an area hospital. 

Officials say the woman was turning north onto the northbound on-ramp to Interstate 41 when she was struck by the westbound vehicle. 

The sheriff's office says speed appears to be a contributing factor. 

This marks the 11th traffic fatality investigated by the Washington County Sheriff's Office this year.
