Hand Grenades Discovered in A Goodwill Donation

The Franklin Police Department responded to Goodwill Industries on Riverwood Blvd regarding found property, this afternoon. Employees at the store had discovered three hand grenades that were dropped off in a donation.

As a precaution, the store was evacuated and the Milwaukee Police Department's Hazardous Devices Unit was called to the scene to assist. They determined that the grenades were inoperable and posed no danger.

Goodwill has since returned to normal operation. Franklin police have determined that there was nothing suspicious, and it doesn't appear that there was an intent to cause any harm with the grenades.
