Gun thrown by teen goes off outside Grand Avenue Mall

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police arrested a armed 14-year-old boy around 11:00 a.m. in the 200 block of W. Wisconsin Ave. 


Police officers went to confront the boy about his possible truancy, and the boy threw his gun. Police say the boy struggled while he was being arrested.


A passing vehicle ran over the gun, causing one round to be fired from the gun. No one was injured during the incident.


The teen is facing possible charges of resisting arrest and possession of a dangerous weapon by a child.
