MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An advocacy group named 'In Defense of Animals' says the Milwaukee County Zoo is among the country's worst for African Elephants.
They're demanding the zoo abandons the program.
The group is also questioning where the zoo plans to get five more elephants for a new exhibit.
CBS 58 News reached out to the zoo for a response. They say in part, "Zoo staff is looked upon as experts in the field of animal conservation."
The zoo goes on to say they are a supporter of elephant conservation in the wild and will continue to do so.
