Summer Gallery Night MKE returns this weekend with 50+ art venues
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- GE Healthcare employees took a break from the office Friday to spread a little Christmas cheer.
About 300 employees visited the Milwaukee VA Medical Center Friday morning. They put up lights and decorations and delivered treats to veterans all over the hospital.
They also had a band playing at the south entrance. The incentive behind the event every year is two-fold.
"One, it's to spread a little cheer to the veterans that've given so much to our country," said Rob Reilly, GE Healthcare's VP of service. "But also it's a great event for our team, it builds camaraderie and it's just a great way to give back a little bit."
This is the sixth year this event has taken place.
