Franklin Police: Suspicious activity results in arrest of 2, wanted for several burglaries

The Franklin Police Department arrested two suspects who were wanted in connection with several burglaries in various jurisdictions.

According to Franklin Police, an officer was assigned to patrol the 4200 block of W. Pebble Beach Ct. due to recent thefts in the area.

The occupants of a vehicle passing the squad were observed pulling into a driveway and approaching the front of a residence. According to police, they appeared to knock on the door.

Due to the fact that it was 4 a.m. and that it appeared the suspects only knocked to avoid suspicion, the officer stopped and questioned them.

As they could not sufficiently explain themselves, the homeowner was contacted and indicated he did not know them.

The two suspects, a 28-year-old Hispanic male and a 29-year-old Hispanic female from Milwaukee were taken into custody for trespassing.

Police learned that the male suspect was on probation for Burglary.

It was determined that the two arrested were suspects in burglaries in at least two other neighboring communities.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Additional charges are expected to be filed against the two suspects.
