MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A former high-ranking Milwaukee firefighter accused of beating and strangling his girlfriend has been found not guilty.
Leon Butts formerly served as a captain with the Milwaukee Fire Department.
Criminal documents say Butts and his girlfriend had a fight in March of last year after he claimed she was cheating.
Butt's was accused of beating and choking the woman after she threw plates and a jewelry box.
