Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Deputy injured in crash with minivan

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Tuesday, February 5 a Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Deputy's car was hit in Fond du Lac causing injuries.

The Ford Explorer driven by the Deputy was driving north on National Avenue when a minivan driving west did not stop for a stop sign at Merrill Avenue. The Explorer hit the side of the minivan. 

Both cars spun in the intersection and the minivan hit a second minivan waiting at a stop sign. That second minivan left the scene after the crash. 

The driver of the minivan that caused the crash was ticketed for not stopping at the stop sign.

Both the driver of the minivan and the Sheriff's Deputy were taken by ambulance to the hospital for minor injuries.
