MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Kansas father walked nearly 800 miles to raise awareness for his son. Michael Swapsy arrived at Fiserv Forum Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 11.
Swapsy says his 9-year-old son was handcuffed and had a bag placed over his head at school as a form of discipline.

He walked from Wichita, Kansas to Milwaukee to get the attention of lawmakers participating in the Democratic National Convention.
"The walk is to bring the awareness and get as much exposure as I can to the restraint and seclusion that has become systemic for Black and brown children," said Swapsy.
The journey took Swapsy more than a month. You can retrace his steps and learn more about his protest by CLICKING HERE.
