Family desperate in search for missing 6th grader

MILWAUKEE-Family gathered outside MLK Elementary Friday night to pray for the safe return of Tatiana Clayton.

Then they went door to door, handing out flyers near the school.

\"Every kid go through a thing in their life,\" her biological father, Dennis Rodgers, told CBS 58 News, \" she just got suspended, but nothing she couldn't come home to.\"

The girl's brother admits she sneaked back into school to get a bus home, but a teacher wouldn't allow her on and the assumption is she walked home. Something that is upsetting to the family.

MPS issued a statement that said:

\"...she was released during the school day with the consent of a parent. We are cooperating with police as they continue to investigate.\"
