Dry and pleasant for Thursday before wet weather returns

It's been a gloomy and soggy Wednesday across southeast Wisconsin with most of the region picking up .25-.75" as of mid afternoon. A heavier band set up across Dodge, Washington, and Ozaukee counties which has locally dumped 1-2.25" of rain!

The most widespread rain has moved out, but wrap around showers have developed and will be with us through mid evening.

Dry weather returns on Thursday with sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s, but scattered shower chances will return Friday afternoon as a system passes us by to the south.

Additional scattered showers and isolated storms are expected on Saturday as a front stalls across the state. More showers are possible Sunday depending on where the front is located after Saturday's weather.

Temps in general will be at or below normal through the weekend with highs in the 70s, cooler on days with more clouds and showers.

However, if you're desperate for some summer warmth, you won't have to wait much longer! Above normal temps are favored to return in about a week and could last into the following weekend! By then our normal high is around 77°, so prepare for at least some 80s to return.
