Happy Thanksgiving! Temperatures this Thanksgiving morning are mild in the upper 30s and 40s but they will slowly drop throughout the day. It isn't a drastic drop but every hour or two expect the temp to drop a degree or two. That means by the afternoon we will be in the 30s.
The wind will also stay elevated throughout the day with wind gusts between 20 to 30 mph out of the northwest. The temperature drop continues tonight with lows by Friday morning dropping into the teens for pretty much everyone. Milwaukee is still looking for its first morning in the teens this season which on average happens during the last week of November so we would be right on track.
Add in the wind Friday morning and you will get some pretty cold wind chills. If you are planning on waking up early and waiting in line for deals on Friday morning wind chills will fall into the single digits. Make sure you are bundling up and wearing your hat, winter coat and gloves.
In addition to the dropping temps on Thanksgiving day we are also tracking some light snow showers. A few snow showers have showed up on radar in southwest Wisconsin and there have been some reports of light snow falling near Lone Rock. The snow will likely move through southeast Wisconsin this morning with a dusting possible on some grassy surfaces.
