Police are investigating a dog bite that happened Friday morning near 67th and Lincoln.
From what they've pieced together so far, two dogs were left in a nearby yard, went through an open gate and began to bite a third dog which was being walked on the street.
The man who owned the third dog attempted to separate the dogs and received a bite from one of the two dogs that had been left in the yard.
The third dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment of bite wounds and the male owner went to a local hospital for treatment of bite wounds.
Police say the dog that was bitten is a beagle/shepherd mix.
The other two dogs were a mix breed and a Rottweiler.
Still, witness descriptions have not been confirmed.
This is still an active investigation.
CBS 58 News was on the scene as several officers canvassed the neighborhood and conducted interviews.
As more information becomes available, we will share it with you.
