Police are investigating a dog bite that happened Friday morning near 67th and Lincoln.
From what they've pieced together so far, two dogs were left in a nearby yard, went through an open gate and began to bite a third dog which was being walked on the street.
The man who owned the third dog attempted to separate the dogs and received a bite from one of the two dogs that had been left in the yard.
The third dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment of bite wounds and the male owner went to a local hospital for treatment of bite wounds.
Police say the dog that was bitten is a beagle/shepherd mix.
The other two dogs were a mix breed and a Rottweiler.
Still, witness descriptions have not been confirmed.
This is still an active investigation.
CBS 58 News was on the scene as several officers canvassed the neighborhood and conducted interviews.
