MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Cudahy woman accused of neglecting and abusing her 15-year-old stepdaughter appeared in Milwaukee County Court on Monday.
Felicia Boon waived her preliminary hearing and put in a not guilty plea.
According to court records, Boon and her husband Kevin are facing several counts of child neglect and abuse. Police were called to the couple’s home in December and found the teen living in terrible conditions.
The girl was locked in her room and forced to go to the bathroom there, according to a criminal complaint. Authorities also say the parents put three other children in the home in charge of the girl. Court documents say the other kids poured hot water on the girl, beat her with a metal pole, zip-tied her to a bed and choked her.
“Based on my review of the complaint I do find that there is a probability that she (Boon) committed a felony within this court’s jurisdiction so the court orders the defendant bound over for trial,” Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Michael Hanrahan said.
Kevin and Felicia Boon are due back in court January 24.
