Milwaukee Fire Department highlights challenges for first responders
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's supposed to be a day of celebration, but for one Milwaukee man, the Fourth of July turned dangerous after he was shot multiple times by a stranger.
Milwaukee police say a 59-year-old man was headed to work around 9:30 in the morning.
He was driving near the 2700 block of N 27th St. when he almost rear ended another driver.
That driver then followed him for six blocks and fired five shots into the car.
The man who was shot is okay, but investigators need help finding out who was in the dark-colored minivan and opened fire.
"It was last seen going eastbound on Center Street from 27th, so someone out there may know something, may have heard something, may have heard any of these individuals talking about it," said MPD Captain Craig Sarnow.
If you have any information about this shooting, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS. Your call is always anonymous.
If your tip leads to an arrest, you could receive a cash reward.
