MILWAUKEE--The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 9-1 Thursday afternoon at Miller Park.
After being nine outs away from a no-hitter and four outs away from winning the game, Matt Garza and the Brewers gave up nine runs in the final two innings. Garza and reliever Will Smith were credited with the seven runs given up in the eighth inning.
The loss makes it nine in the last ten days for the Brewers. They still hold the lead in the National League Central Division as they prepare to host the St. Louis Cardinals this weekend.
