Election Day Tuesday is dry and sunny but chilly with temps starting off in the 20s when polls open then only 30s for afternoon highs. The wind is fairly light most of Tuesday but when it does blow will drop wind chills into the 20s.
It has been a very wet start to the month of April. After a few strong to severe storm chances along with heavy rain it is the wettest start to April on record with 3.56" of total precipitation through the first six days of the month. Last April in 2025 was also above average with 1.31" of rain to start the month.
The next chance for precipitation arrives after midnight Tuesday night with some light wintry mix possible. No major road impacts are expected for most, but some slick roads are possible north of I-94 with maybe the best chance at some sleet or freezing rain causing icing in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties.
After some light mix early Wednesday we dry out for most of the midday and afternoon hours. Another round of showers is possible Wednesday evening and maybe a few downpours. More showers look possible on Thursday. Once again, best chances will be in the early morning and again in the evening.
