Children's Hospital celebrates Halloween

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) – It was a celebration of all holidays at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as doctors, nurses, and other staff embraced the Halloween spirit by hosting a costume contest.

Some staff dressed as holidays so there was a pilgrim, leprechaun, and Statue of Liberty. There were also other non-holiday costumes like Oscar the Grouch.

Staff say the day is all about having fun and letting kids be kids.

"Everyone has a smile on their face, even in the Intensive Care Unit where things can be tough. The families appreciate it, the kids appreciate it," said Dr. David Margolis with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

The employee with the best costume did win a prize, but doctors say the best prize is seeing the smile on kids' faces.
