BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) - Children at Ebenezer Child Care Center Brookfield got an early start on celebrating America's upcoming 250th birthday with a patriotic day full of red, white and blue.
Children arrived dressed in festive attire as staff led age-appropriate activities throughout the day celebrating the nation's history. Teachers also asked students to share their favorite things about the United States, resulting in plenty of heartwarming and humorous responses.
The celebration concluded with a classic hot dog lunch for the 3K, 4K and school-aged children, followed by birthday cake and a special rendition of "Happy Birthday" in honor of America's upcoming 250th birthday.
